Textbook: An Introductory English Grammar. (5th edition).
Author: Stageberg,C, N. & O,D.D.(2000).
Syllabus Number: 423 NGL.
Time: 3hrs a week.
This textbook has its basic structuralism approach to language. It reveals some
features such as the inclusion of an application section after each chapter, in
addition, each chapter is preceded by an observation that relates to something in
the content of the chapter. It also uses the tree diagrams to show morphemic
constituent structures. The students are supposed to study two parts of this
textbook, part two: The morphology of English, part three: The Syntax of English.
