 To understand and define the basic concepts of users studies.
 The kinds of users studies.
 Users behavior.
 The requirements of users studies.
 The impact factors on users studies.
 The technology and its impact on users studies.
 Using the methods of users studies on different information services.
2.a. knowledge: in users studies dealing with information technology, users studies components, users
studies in different environments, Feedback, behavior, evaluating the extent of use.
2.b. cognitive skills: under standing important tools in users studies: Fact gathering by surveys that
measure their attitude in using different resources and services.
2.c. interpersonal skills and responsibility: review the scientific issues before lectures from the marked
books and subjects, attending lectures 3 hours per week, taking some power points lectures, preparing
for attending the exams, doing the home works (2 assignments), formulating different working group.

different concepts of information, the concepts of information needs, and of information seeking
behavior together with the information use, how different factors can affect information needs and use,
how the computer based information systems networks revolution and the Internet change the role of
the information specialist to knowledge managers, and how he or she could use these strategies in
different kinds of information services at the libraries.
