 Kaela Parks
Responsible for overall department functioning, budgeting, supervision, and alignment with institutional priorities. Builds
collaborations and participation ensures DS participation within college work groups.
 Supervises employees
 Resolves accommodation related concerns
 Facilitates district-wide compliance with legal mandates
 Leads the department, ensuring effective and efficient practice that is student centered
Senior Office Assistant
 Cathy Murphy
Responsible for fiscal and employee records management as well as support for department needs.
 Coordinates employee forms and processes
 Maintains purchasing records and ledger
 Triages department email account
Campus Based Office Assistants
 Cascade Office Assistant - Teresa Adams
 Sylvania Office Assistant - Stephanie Monroe
 Rock Creek Office Assistant - Maria Juarez
 Southeast Office Assistants- Maria Buccieri and Juanita Lognion
Responsible for day to day operations and communication with the public.
 Phone/Fax/Email correspondence
 Triages documentation receipt, scanning, and notification
 Schedules appointments and updates calendars
 Sends reminders and enters case notes
 Tracks requests and collaborates with facilities to ensure appropriate furniture placements
 Checks-in/Checks-out AT equipment
District Coordinator
 Coordinator – Wendy Palmer
Works on accommodation requests related to programmatic access. Funded .5 through Perkins.
 Tracks requests for, recruits, and provides direction to, In Class Aides
 Tracks requests for, recruits, and provides thank you gifts for, peer notetakers
 Facilitates LEAP evaluation process
 Works on special projects such as Transition Information Nights, and Workforce Recruitment Program
Interpreting and Transcribing
 Coordinator - Sharon Allen
Works with ASL Interpreters, TypeWell Transcribers, and CART Providers to ensure communication access.
 Hires, schedules, and mentors staff communication access providers
 Identifies communication access patterns and opportunities for enhancements
 Establishes and maintains relationships with casual and contracted professionals
 Ensures appropriate professional development opportunities

Works with students to facilitate the accommodation process, build technology skills, and improve effective use of tools
and techniques. Work with staff and faculty to promote awareness of best practices.

Works with Accessibility Technicians to create or acquire alternate formats of print or multimedia content. Works with
students, staff, and faculty to ensure equal access to online, print, and multimedia content.


