Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Student Information Assistant
team. The University Call Center operates Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm between the
start of the Fall Semester through the end of the Spring Semester, and 8am-4pm during
the summer. We expect our qualified applicants to be available to work a minimum of
10hours/week and at least one break per year. This application will be kept confidential
and on file for one year from the date of the receipt. Please complete both parts A and B for
your application to be considered complete.

PART B
Answer the following questions about the university as if you were talking to a
student/parent/professor or anyone on the phone (“Hello thank-you for calling…”). These are
some of the Call Center's Frequently Asked Questions and the answers are readily available.
You can use the websites, walk into various offices on campus, or ask around to figure out the
answers because your answers should be as complete as possible. Please indicate at the end of
each question where you found that information (ie. Who you spoke to, the office you visited,
who you emailed, or the website you utilized). Please do not copy and paste from the
Binghamton.edu website. Instead you should put the information into your own words. You
must complete these questions in order to be considered for the position at the Call Center.
1. How much will it cost me to live in Bingham Hall for the year?
2. What services does Health Services offer students?
3. What is the BEP Program? When does it happen?
4. I am a current student, how do I get a copy of my official transcript?
5. What types of Financial Aid does Binghamton offer?
6. “I am an Anthropology major. When is my commencement ceremony for this spring?”
7. When is the spring orientation session? What happens at orientation? What can students
expect to do?
8. Where can you find information about on campus clubs and organizations?
9. Please explain what the SOAR is and what you can submit through it.
