Lake Gem and Mineral.
1. Find 5 minerals that you recognize as being minerals that you identified in lab.
List the five minerals below and note their locality (where they were found).
2. Find 3 minerals that you find really interesting. List their names and explain why you
thought each was interesting.
3. Find 3 fossils that you find interesting. Make a simple sketch of each and under
each sketch note the name of the fossil, the locality where the fossil was found, and
how old the fossil is (you can write the geologic age or the number of years…which
ever is listed).
4. What did you see that really surprised you at the show? Explain why.
5. What exhibits did you find the least interesting? Explain why.
