Operations & Logistics Intern

 Worked at the Corporate Headquarters, reporting to the Vice President of Logistics and the

Directors of Operations, Transportation, & Logistics.

 Introduced to the individual departments, and collaborated with most of the employees to understand the operation as a whole.

 Assigned a project to decrease driver times in & out of the facility.

 Designed a barcode scanning database system and report summary to provide better communication and allow for quicker responses to delays.

 Created a ranking system for drivers, where employees can differentiate between the drivers’ scheduled times, in order to control the intake of drivers per hour.

 Presented proposal to Vice Presidents & some Corporate Executives who plan implement aspects of the proposal.

Driftwood Day Camp, Melville NY July - August 2011-2014

Counselor (Assistant Group Leader)

 Responsible for the coordination and organization of activities for campers (ages 5-7).

 Communicated in a personalized manner to campers, upper staff, co-workers, and parents.

 Promoted to group leader when a group leader was absent.

RELEVANT COURSE WORK

Engineering Design, Sustainability Project

 Constructed a design to use aluminum foil on campus to increase sustainability, assigned through the company ALCOA.

 Generated an idea to angle aluminum foil to flood light across a ceiling, in order to reduce the amount of energy needed to light a classroom.

 Theorized a long term, strategic plan to implement the design in eligible classrooms.

Managerial Accounting, Master Budget Project

 Built a master budget for a theoretical manufacturing company, containing individual spreadsheets for each of the budgets with only formulas.

 Displayed users with an organized table of variables that affect the different budgets.

 Analyzed how specific changes to the certain variables influenced overall profitability.
