Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to provide a process to notify a student of an emergency as defined by the
Family Education Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
Procedure
A. A request to the College to convey an emergency message to a person on the College premises is to be
transferred to the Downtown Campus Security Office (904-355-4357 or 904-633-8200). Security
personnel will relay the emergency message and follow-up by contacting the originator with the
results.
