Title: Math Lines
Purpose: The purpose of this game is to reinforce compatible numbers sums of 10 to sums of 20.
Grade Level/TEKS Reference: 2nd and up
(2.3) The student adds and subtracts whole numbers to solve problems. The student is
expected to :
(A) recall and apply basic addition and subtraction facts (to 18)
Length of time necessary for Game: 10 minutes or longer depending on skill level and desire to
continue to play
Number of Participants: 1 player minimum

Directions:
(1) Students are to form number pairs that add to 10. For example, a ball with the number 8
would pair up with a ball containing the number 10.
(2) Each round gets harder and harder
