Range: common problems may include but are not limited to – mis-seams, dented bodies, scuffing, scratches, deadhead slip, droop, cutover. 2.2 Seamer is test run and monitored in accordance with worksite procedures. 2.3 Seamer machine checks and adjustments are made until seamer operates in accordance with worksite procedures. Range: checks and adjustments to include – counter-sunk depth, seam thickness, seam length, can height. element 3 Perform quality control checks on product from an automated can component seamer. Range: quality control checks to include – projected overlap, can height, seam length, countersink, seam width, body and cover hooks. performance criteria 3.1 Quality control checks are performed and recorded in accordance with worksite procedures. 3.2 Quality control check results are explained in terms of relationships between seamer settings, product specification tolerances, and variance trends.
