The following text and image are posted near the beginning
of the lecture. As the student navigates through the lecture,
images, such as the one below, are linked to user’s disc
drive. Once the user clicks on the image, the CD in the drive
is cued to the correct track so that the student is listening to
the appropriate music while simultaneously reading an
analysis of the music.
While reading this online lecture you are referred to
the Norton Anthology of Western Music (NAWM) and
its accompanying CDs. You will see the image on the
left referring you to a CD number and track number.
