GETTING LOGICAL SYMBOLS IN MICROSOFT WORD

1. Click on the word Insert (main tool bar) to open the Insert Menu.

2. When the Insert Menu drops down, click on More Symbols.

3. Within the Symbol Dialog box, look at the choices of symbols that are showing. If you don ’t see the symbol you want, scroll down or select a different Subset (right corner).

4. As soon as you see the symbol you want, click on it to select it.

5. To assign a set of keystrokes to that symbol, click on the Shortcut

Key button.

6. When presented with the Shortcut Dialog Box, press the keys you want to control the desired symbol. For example, you might want to press Alt-I to represent the horseshoe of implication.

7. Click on the Assign button. Click on the Close button.

8. You can now insert that symbol using the shortcut you defined.
