A. DISTRICT LEVEL SUPPORT AND STRUCTURES
Using no more than eight (8) pages, please respond to the following questions regarding district-level support
and structures for expanded learning time (ELT). Responses should be provided within this document, without
changing the format or font size, and leaving the questions above each response.
1. Explain how planning for ELT has been informed by data and builds on lessons learned in the district about
effective use of time. In particular, if applicable, include lessons learned from existing ELT schools and/or
existing 21st CCLC-OST program sites.
2. Describe how ELT fits into district-wide plans for improving student performance and engagement. In
addition, describe how ELT helps to support local implementation of the Department’s District Standards
and Indicators and Department Priorities.
3. District Structures:
Please use the table below to (a) identify specific district-level structures, personnel, and resources the
district plans to provide school(s) that will support implementation of expanded time; (b) describe how these
structures will support the implementation in each school; and (c) describe whether the structure exists or is
newly planned at the district level for FY14. (Insert rows as needed.)
If the lead applicant is not the district, also describe supports that will be provided by the lead applicant.

grant requirements each year including a reapplication.)
