Sales Engineer
Play a critical role in company growth by providing a lead technical role in the business development and sales cycles.
Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be a critical member of the Sales team to help develop new business and grow existing customer
solutions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated abilities and track record in the areas of optimization
modeling & analysis, and will have strong knowledge and experience in the forestry industry and/or vegetation
management industry. The Sales Engineer will work well in a small team environment, under weekly management
guidance. This position will be ideal for someone who is confident in presenting and demonstrating to clients,
competent in developing planning/scheduling models, skilled in facilitating and documenting solution requirements
during sales engagements and able to help the team develop solid business cases with clients
This is a growth position on our team and will report to the Director of Global Sales.
Responsibilities/Duties:
 Team with Account Managers to assist prospects in their technical education and evaluation of Remsoft software
and solutions
 Lead and participate in sales conducted remotely and in-person
 Provide forestry and vegetation management knowledge and experience to advance sales engagements
 Communicate product/solution benefits and features and guide discussion during product demonstrations
 Bring a prospect’s vision to life by building and demonstrating custom models based on their data and use cases
 Lead the technical facilitation and documentation of solution requirements during the sales cycle
 Share customer and market insights with the consulting services, product management and support teams as
needed
 Provide occasional billable services to support the consulting services team
 Internal projects related to R&D and ongoing progression of the Remsoft solution
 Activities related to market education and increase of Remsoft exposure that may include trade shows, speaking
engagements, web recordings, etc.
Skills/Experience:
 Degree or diploma from a Forestry program
 Minimum 5 years of experience working in the forestry or vegetation management sectors in a business analysis or
management role
 Experience using the Remsoft software suite or minimally with optimization and model development technologies
 Strongly inclined to the business side of the industry; inquisitive and interested to engage in business development
and technical sales activities
 Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment, with an extended team and under tight time constraints
 Ability to think logically and make inferences with incomplete information
Working Conditions:
This position would ideally be located in Fredericton, NB. But for the right candidate with demonstrated ability to work
in a remote office under weekly supervision, it could be based elsewhere. A candidate must be able to travel up to 50%
of the time and have appropriate documentation for global travel.
