The Stage 3 – Learning Plan can be completed using several forms. It’s flexible base on your
style.
1. The Stage 3 Learning Plan should be posted each week to www.westsidewolves.org. If you
complete more than one week at a time, the plans can also be posted as a unit.
2. Ensure your student learning outcomes (objectives) are included on your plan.
3. Connect the Stage 3 - Learning Plan to the Stage 1 – Desired Results where appropriate. Include
where you plan to incorporate your Essential Questions (TADS level 4) into your classroom work.
4. Your Stage 3 – Learning Plan should not be a copy and paste exercise. Learning activities should
be articulated by day and include resources (books, page numbers, problem sets, etc).

Objective: Welcome Back
Activities: Welcome students into the classroom. Students fill out student information sheet.
Go over syllabus. Students will try to find the perimeter of a figure.
Assessment:
Materials: student information sheet, syllabus
Follow Up/HW:
Objective: SWBAT solve a one-step equation.
Activities: Warm up: use mental math to solve an equation. Notes: Students will take notes
from section 3.1 Examples 1 and 2. Guided Practice: With a partner: Try # 1 – 4. Discuss
and have students display on the board.
Assessment: exit ticket: Find the perimeter of a triangle.
Materials: textbook, notes spiral
Follow Up/HW: p. 137 # 3 – 16
Objective: SWBAT solve a one-step equation.
Activities: Warm Up: Word problem
Go Over H.W. p. 137 # 3 – 16
Notes: Finish lesson 3.1. Do example 3, guided practice # 5 – 8 with a partner. Have students
display answers on the board. Go over questions as needed. Example 4. Guided Practice: # 9

Notes: Lesson 3.2: Solve two-step equations. Do example 1, guided practice # 1 – 3. Have
students demonstrate answers to class. Example 2, guided practice # 4 – 6.
