BASIC FUNCTION
This position provides efficient administrative assistance, clerical support, and secretarial services to the department of
Athletics.
NATURE & SCOPE
Reporting to the Business Operations Coordinator, the Athletics Office Manager provides administrative support to the
athletic office and ticket office.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 Provide efficient administrative assistance, clerical support, and secretarial services to the Athletics
department.
 Manage the department calendar to include the director of athletics’ schedule, master athletic department
schedule, facilities rental, and weekly meetings.
 Assist the ticket manager with day-to-day office operations, sale and distribution of tickets for all home
and select away athletic events.
 Manage internal communications and assist with team travel.
 Manage select databases and assist with special projects.
 Manage work study students.
 Perform additional related duties assigned by the director of athletics.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
B.A. or B.S. degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Must possess good writing skills with knowledge of Microsoft
Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a commitment to
diversity. This position is subject to a comprehensive background and/or credit check, with employment contingent upon
satisfactory results. Motor Vehicle License check is required for access to a University vehicle; valid license is required.
