many areas, especially in
the depletion of our
supplies. We would really
appreciate any donated
items such as pencils,
crayons, markers, glue
sticks, erasers, dry erase
markers, hand sanitizer,
and tissues.
Any donations can be sent
in to your child’s teacher.

 Make sure to send in
a note if your child is
sick, leaving early
from school, or going
home a different way.
 Students should be
reading 20 minutes
every night and this
should be recorded
on the monthly
reading chart with
your signature.
 Math bingo packets
are sent home
monthly to provide
students with
additional math
practice.
 As the weather
continues to change,
please be sure to
dress your child
accordingly.
The students
will continue
working with
fractions,
comparing and
ordering them,
and using what
they have
learned about
Math
Social
Studies
Our third
graders are
learning about
different
cultures and
will use maps
to expand their
knowledge
of
Science
the world.
Students will
work with the
physical sciences
to identify and
describe burning,
friction, and
electricity as
methods of heat
production.
Students are
identifying and
describing how
culture affects
the physical
sciences.
Reading and
Writing
The students will read
non-fiction text and
compare texts on the
same topic. They will
also use illustrations in
the texts to help them
identify the meanings of
unknown words.
In writing, students will
continue to develop
their skills with opinion,
informational, and
narrative writing. Our
focus will be on
