‘Refugee Stories: Learning to live in the UK’

Uprooted from home, community and former
occupations, refugees learn to re-build identities
and establish liveable, meaningful lives.
Drawing on unique insights of looking over time,
Dr Linda Morrice explores the transition narratives
of a group of refugees. She discusses the ethical
and methodological challenges of working with
refugees, and of combining life history work with a
longitudinal approach.
Dr Linda Morrice is the author of Being A Refugee: Learning and Identity. A
Longitudinal Study of Refugees in the UK (Stoke on Trent, Trentham Books.
