_____I plan to attend Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men, Friday, March 2, 11:00 a.m.
– 12:00 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center’s Ballroom.
In 1950, most Americans had completed the transition from adolescence to adulthood by age 21 or so.
Today, it's more likely to be by age 30. It's a new stage of development, and Kimmel is our tour guide in
this presentation based on his best-selling book, GUYLAND. Based on interviews with more than 400
young people across the country, Kimmel offers a glimpse of why so many guys are adrift through their
20s, and offers a road map towards a more conscious adulthood.
_____I plan to attend the I Want my Jacket Back performance, Friday, March 2, 7:00 p.m. − 8:30 p.m. in
the Milo Bail Student Center’s Dodge Rooms.
I WANT MY JACKET BACK is an interactive solo performance that uses music, humor, poetry, &
personal narrative to explore new possibilities for how we think & talk about gender violence.
_____I plan to attend the screening of Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth, a 90 minute
documentary and expert discussion panel following the screening, Saturday, March 3, 2:00 p.m.
Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth is a documentary about domestic minor sex trafficking
and the modern-day abolitionist movement fighting to stop it. Since September 2009, the crew has traveled
to over 30 states and conducted more than 75 interviews with federal agents, victims, politicians, activists,
psychologists, porn-stars, among others.
