Reports
LSA Management Reporting System
The LSA Management Reporting System provides a reporting environment for data out
of the M-Pathways system. Daily updates of the previous day's information provide
snapshots of class and enrollment data that can be quickly viewed, printed and exported
to Excel.
Reports at this site include information about Concentrators, Degrees, Courses,
Enrollment, Grades, Graduate Students, and Student Financial Support
The key administrator in your department can go to the LSA Management Reporting
System site to request access for staff.

Teaching Support
Class Rosters
Faculty and instructional staff have the ability to view class roster data through the Web.
This information is delivered via Wolverine Access as part of the Teaching Support
functionality. Web-based class roster functionality allows instructors to:
•
Access real-time class roster information
•
View enrolled students, waitlisted students, and students with unused permissions
(overrides)
•
Select the student information you want to view on the roster including units,
academic level, academic plan (declared concentration), student groups, Residential
College affiliation, and/or enroll date.
•
Convert class rosters into Excel spreadsheets
•
Email students, either individually or in groups, directly from links on the Web
page
Web Grades
All UM course grades are entered via Teaching Support on Wolverine Access.
Instructors are granted access to either Approve (submit) grades, or Grade (enter but not
submit). This access is set up by the department curriculum maintainer. Instructors with
Grade access must assign proxy to an approver to get their grades submitted. If the
instructor cannot assign proxy, the department chair must contact the Registar to request
proxy for someone else.
Degree Audit Report
The Degree Audit Report is designed to inform students and advisors if requirements for
a degree have been met, or which requirements need to be completed.
Advising Report
The Web-based Advising Report provides academic advisors with the ability to view
students’ records quickly and easily over the Web. The Advising Report displays the
same information as the Unofficial Transcript, with the following additions:
•
Admit Term
•
Student Groups
•
Test Results
•
Student Placement Test Scores
•
Student Placement Recommendations

Student Placement Rationales
Access
Faculty and instructional staff may view class roster data for only their assigned class
sections. Staff with access to Student Record automatically have access to all Class
Rosters. Staff with access to Student Records have access automatically to the Advising
Report.
Granting access to either of the reports via Teaching Support on Wolverine Access
requires permission of your department’s key administrator. Note that granting access to
class rosters on the web to anyone other than the instructor listed in M-Pathways provides
access to all class rosters for your academic organization. There is currently no way to
grant access to the rosters for one particular class.
Staff, faculty, or advisors who wish to gain access to the Advising or Degree Audit
reports must read and sign an Access & Compliance form. This form can be found at
http://www.mais.umich.edu/access/policies.html. After completing the form, fax it to
and send the original form via campus mail to JoAnn Peraino at 2242 LSA, 1382, fax
number 936-2956.
