Objective:
To process new information or experiences.
Can help to access student prior
knowledge, understandings, experiences or
purpose. Builds teams or partners.
Tools:
Graphic organizer, if appropriate
Travel Partners or Quadrant Partners or
Table Share
Prompts or activities
Time:
5-15 Minutes or preparation or set-up,
develop a topic, prompts or activity
3-5 Minutes of student pair-share time
10-15 Minutes of student report-out to the
group
Considerations:
 Vary the prompts
 Be sure to give time to THINK!
 May not need time to write if it is a discussion prompt
 Connect with an active strategy such as “Stand-Up
Meeting”
Audience Strategy:
Friend, Inventor, Scientist, Professors
