IEEE Shandong Subsection
IEEE Shandong Subsection was established
on November 14, 2009, which was the first
international academic organization in
Shandong province.
After almost two years of development, now
we have more than 100 IEEE members and
38 student members.
Mission of IEEE Shandong subsection
to pprovide a communicatingg pplatform for
researchers, engineers and manufacturers
on electrical and electronic in Shandong
Province.
We also would like to provide
professional education and services for
them to improve their professional
competence.
Major Activities held in 2010
Shandong adolescents science and technology invention Summer Camp in
Shandong University
In 2010 summer vacation, IEEE Shandong subsection, Shandong Electronic
Society, School of Information Science and Engineering jointly hosted Shandong
adolescents science and technology invention Summer Camp. IEEE SDU student
Branch also jjoined in this activity.

The Summer camp invited excellent students from the province and provided
them with professional training in research. We held 4 courses to convey science

Invited Prof. Seiichi Takeuchi to visit the subsection
From June 19 to July 5, the former
Chairman of IEEE region 10, Professor
Seiichi Takeuchi, who comes from Tokyo
Denki University School in Japan was
invited to make short-term visit.
He gave a course on 4G wireless
communications for graduate students.
He gave a report off "Optical

Summer Course: Wireless Broadband Communication Network
Jointly organized by IEEE Shandong
Subsection and school of Information
Science and Engineering School of
Shandong University.
University faculties in Shandong
Province were invited to the course.
Invited 10 to 15 significant experts in
broadband wireless communications
from China to give keynote speeches.
