Laurence is currently the NXC of Bailey Fisher and is working with 4 other innovative companies. He has a passion for commercialising technology and
helping businesses grow. His most recent appointment was with 3i whom he
joined in 1994 and was a partner in the venture capital team. Laurence led 3i
investments in companies such as CSR (IPO on LSE), Trigenix (sold to Qualcomm), UbiNetics (sold to Aeroflex and CSR), Cambridge Semiconductor, Metalysis, Taptu, Adaytum (sold to Cognos) and Ezurio (sold). Since 2000 he has
produced a return of over 3 times cost of investment. Prior to 3i, Laurence
worked for Deloitte & Touche in Leeds and San Francisco. He gained his software knowledge as an enthusiastic PC games developer in the early 1980s and
via his degree in Computer Science from Sheffield. He is a qualified chartered
accountant.
