Does the speaker present a fresh or challenging way of looking at the material?
Are the speaker’s examples, narratives, explanations and visual aids relevant for
effectively supporting the topic?
Are sources used and cited appropriately?
Delivery
Does the speaker maintain good eye contact?
Does the speaker find ways to engage the audience?
Is the speaker’s voice volume appropriate? Too loud? Too soft?
Does the speaker use effective body movements and gestures?
Does the speaker avoid using distracting speech patterns ( “uhm,” “like,” )?
Question and Answer Session
Does the speaker appear well-informed and knowledgeable of the topic?
Does the speaker provide clear, substantive, and honest responses to questions?
