Third Grade
Third grade students rounded numbers to the
billions place and measured objects to the
nearest ¼ of an inch this week. The class also
continues to build their paper roller coaster while
learning about surface area, volume and velocity.
A test is scheduled for 12/8.
Fourth Grade
Fourth grade students continue to learn more
about fractions. Students converted fractions to
decimals and found the percent of certain
numbers. They also investigated how to use
percent circles to create graphs. A test is
scheduled for 12/9.
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade students learned multiple methods to
divide fractions this week. They used a visual
model and a standard algorithm to find solutions.
Students also converted fractions to a percent
using mental math strategies. A test is
scheduled for the week of December 14th.
