Edward (Ted) W. Webster, Ph.D., 5th AAPM President, 12th Coolidge Awardee,
and 16th Taylor Lecturer passed away on 17 December 2005 after a brilliant
career of over a half century in medical physics. Besides making many
contributions to the physics of diagnostic radiology and to the studies of the
biological effects of low doses of radiation, Ted was a superb scholar and renown
lecturer who greatly influenced the careers of many hundreds of radiologists and
physicists.
