researches, plans and implements support and maintenance of technology while providing secure access to information and resources in support of the College’s
business processes, decision-making and academic environment.
Goal 1: Plan, develop and deploy
Network/Telephony Infrastructure upgrades
1) New VPN and firewalls; implementation during
summer break 2015 with new academic image
2) Purchase and install new Wireless Access Points
(WAPs) campus-wide; new WAPs are designed
for higher throughput
3) VoIP installation for RCB and RCC; to be
completed by September 2015
4) VoIP Invitation to bid and implementation; to
be completed by December 2015
5) Evaluate and test Disaster Recovery Plan by
winter break 2015/16 (had to be extended)

Goal 2: Support planning and technology
installation for TMCC capital projects and
renovations with minimal disruption to college
operations

as remodel of the Applied Technology Center at

Goal 4: Continue to place importance on staff
development with emphasis in staying current
with technological advances and leadership.
Specifically
1) Provide cross training in areas of the Functional
Analyst/PeopleSoft, iNtegrate2 and the resulting
position backfill
2) Continue provide cross training for Network and
Telephony, especially with new VoIP system;
3) Cross training between Telephony staff and IT
Customer Support staff for VoIP where
applicable
4) Hire two Programmers (Information Specialists)
for the Enterprise Group
5) Hire a Server & Database Specialist
6) Be supportive of training opportunities for
employees

Goal 5: Continue to participate in NSHE shared
services initiatives in information technology.
1) Create MOUs with GBC and WNC to improve
shared services and knowledge exchange

Goal 6: Improve technology structure support in
policies and practice.
1) Promote sustainable business practice through
examining, analyzing printer usage at TMCC;
develop conclusions and actions based on that
research
2) Convert IT procedures and guidelines into user
friendly steps that are easily understandable
and accessible by campus users
3) Develop training material on the new phone
system and offer training to employees via
ProDev
4) Bring back stability to IT after the Shared
Services discussions. Hire and train three
positions (2 Programmers, 1 Server/DB Admin).
Permanently fill the CITO/CTO position.
