Strategy: Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR)
Appropriate Grade Level: 4th-6th Grades
Procedures/Steps:
1.) Preview

can state the main point of what they just read.

a. This is done when students learn to
formulate and answer questions about what they learned, and review key ideas.
Comments and/or Tips:


The goal of all of this is to improve students’ knowledge, understanding, and memory
of what they read.
This can also be done in groups, where each member of the group gets a section they
are the “expert” of.
