Philosophers Debate Requirements
Student Requirements:
You will place yourself in groups of four/ five if needed.
You will be randomly selected to represent the thoughts/side of
naturalist/positive.
Each person in the group will represent one thinker
You will have an opening, two points, and a closing. In addition there
is a rebuttal component.
Your opening is a minute to a minute and a half.
Each argument is thirty seconds to a minute, the rebuttal time in total
will be no greater than five minutes.
You will be in role, dressed as your thinker. Look at the time your
thinker lived, to get an ideal as to what you should, and will look like.
Apply your thoughts to the modern world.
You will be given time in class to prep for all possible arguments, and
only one topic will be selected, five minutes before your team
presents.
