Machine Environment
Ground block
Joints can connect bodies to the Ground or to other bodies: Base and Follower
Joint sensors and Body sensors
Joint initial condition and Spring offset
Scopes and sending data to the MATLAB workspace
Labeling signals to label the scopes
Body block parameters
Absolute versus relative positioning

2. Models: ME459Ex10SMDYMotionMFile.m and ME459Ex10SMDYMotionwithMFile.mdl
o Note that these two files cannot have the same name
o M-file: used to control execution of the SimMechanics model
 gives values to model parameters prior to execution
 runs the model
 plots output from the model
o Sensors can be used to measure multiple items
o Publish the M-file to generate a PDF file with model results
o If scopes are open when the file is published, they will appear in the PDF file
o If the simulation window is not open when the file is published, it will appear in the PDF file. If it
is open when the file is published, it will not appear in the PDF file.

Joint actuator used to specify some motion within the system. Other motions are free.
Uses a subsystem
Uses a MUX and DeMUX to combine or separate vector signals
M-file is only used to plot results after the model is run.
4. Models: ME459Ex08FourBarParallelogramBaseMotionUsingGlobalCoordinates.mdl
ME459Ex09FourBarParallelogramBaseMotionUsingLocalCoordinates.mdl
o one model is built using global coordinates, the other using local coordinates
o both models simulate a closed loop mechanism
5. Models: ME459Ex11CrankFollowerMfile.m and ME459Ex11CrankFollower.mdl
o models a closed loop mechanism using global coordinates
o models a sliding joint between two bodies
