CELEBRATE FAT TUESDAY WITH MARDI GRAS MEALS
AT RESIDENTIAL HALLS AND UC SATELLITE
Houston, February 13, 2012 – One of the best things about Mardi
Gras is the delicious Cajun and Creole food. Since we know many of
you can’t make it down to New Orleans for the celebration, UH
Dining Services is bringing the fun to you with several Mardi Grasthemed meals at the residential dining halls and the UC Satellite.
Cranberry Farms in the UC Satellite will be celebrating Monday,
Feb. 20 and Tuesday, Feb. 21 by serving up fried catfish, chicken
and sausage jambalaya, fried okra, corn on the cob, red beans and
sausage over rice, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread and a special
dessert.
The Fresh Food Co. in Moody Towers and the RFoC in Oberholtzer
Hall will also have special menus during dinner on Feb. 21. Along
with decorations and a chance to make your own Mardi Gras mask,
you can enjoy delicious crawfish boiled with corn and potatoes. End
the meal with a slice of king cake and you just might think you’re in
New Orleans for a second instead of on the UH campus.
