SKYWARN Storm Spotters are trained volunteers that watch the skies during severe weather and
relay reports back to the National Weather Service (NWS). The NWS depends on accurate severe
weather reports from trained SKYWARN Storm Spotters in order to issue accurate weather
warnings in the local area. Come join the NWS Houston/Galveston Weather Forecast Center Office,
in partnership with the Office of Emergency Management and learn:

How to Report Severe Weather to the National Weather Service (NWS)
Basic Severe Weather Safety
Training is FREE and open to the public
No Experience Necessary
