Story: Pete The Cat and
His Four Groovy Buttons
Research has demonstrated that
the most effective read-alouds
are those where children are
actively involved asking and
answering questions and making
predictions, rather than passively
listening. Repeated interactive
realouds helps to sccaffold
children’s understanding of the
book.
Today we played a button
Important Dates
math game. We worked in
*Tue. Sep. 22nd Picture Day
a small group. Each child
had a turn to roll the dice
and count out that number
of buttons.
