A Peek at our Week
Reading: We are still in our Fiction Unit.
We have talked about characters’ feelings
and traits by thinking about what’s
happening in the story, studying the
characters’ facial and body language, and
listening to what the characters say and
think.
Phonics: (A-Z, or, ar, ur, ir, er, ch, sh, th,
wh, ing, ed, ai, ee, ie, oa, ue, ou, ow, oy, oi,
oo, blends)
Writing: We have been working hard on
the rules of a sentence and making our
own sentences to match our pictures. We
are practicing beginning our sentences with
an uppercase letter, having finger spaces in
between words, ending with punctuation,
and understanding a sentence is a
complete thought.
Math: The kinders are still working with
teen numbers and identifying numbers that
are one less and one more to help build
upon their number sense.
.Please play the math game throughout the
week and sign and return the bottom
portion on Friday in their purple folders.
