Lee gave the diverse audience a rousing address that stressed the value of education and the importance of choosing long-term career happiness over money. Lee also discussed the lack of African-American representation and negative images in the media. Encouraging college students in the audience to use their college years to discover what it is they would really enjoy doing, he advised: "Use this time to plot where you want to go - once you decide what you want to do." He urged young people to look for career satisfaction over money, warning them against becoming one of the millions of people who get up and go to a job everyday that they hate. "Your time in school should be about finding what it is that you love and not "what's going to make me the most money." Fans of the popular television crime drama CSI were right at home with a five-week contest at the MCC Fitness Center. Players teamed up with another "investigator" to determine what "crime" was committed and who did it. Each week, new clues were found in the Fitness Center to be examined by team members after completing their regular workouts. During the final week, participants filed "official" CSI reports and winners were eligible for special prizes. Winners were announced at a Fitness Center celebration on April 21. Highlighting the day was the announcement of the suspect, Shawn "Sugar Daddy" Brown, MCC assistant baseball coach, who allegedly has been operating an illegal doughnut lab over the Fitness Center. Fitness Center staff said Brown could be sentenced to numerous workouts in the Fitness Center. Faculty and staff are welcome to join the Fitness Center and take part in our special events while getting a great workout. Call (810) 762-0026 for more information.
