Narrative Writing Homework

Every two weeks, you will be assigned a writing prompt
The writing piece that you will complete will be completed at home
It may be written on the following pages or you may type it on your Google account and share it
with me
Your piece must be at least 250 words (one written page or about ½ of a typed page)
Each narrative piece will have a focus area.
You may use the space below to brainstorm/create your story arc.
Your focus areas:
- Brainstorm/story arc
- Catchy Lead
- Heart of the story/what you learned
- Elaboration on the top of your story arc (use TADS and details from your senses to describe)
Your prompt is:
Tell the story of your favorite holiday or winter memory. Keep in mind that this memory should
have a lesson or heart – what did you learn? Or, what did the reader learn from reading your
story? Use this to help write your ending.
