Geologist- scientist who studies landforms.
Water cycle- a continuous circulation of water between the
earth and the atmosphere.
Evaporation- the change of water from a liquid to a gas by
Heat.
Water Vapor- gas molecule formed during evaporation
Condensation- the changing of water vapor (gas) to a liquid
through cooling.
Precipitation- water falling back to the earth in the form of
rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
Drought- long periods without rain.
Glaciers- rivers of ice
Ground Water- water that flows or seeps down into the soil
Surface Water- water that collects on the earth’s surface
(ex. Lakes, rivers, streams, ponds)
