Riverwood is an undeveloped urban
wilderness embracing the historic
Credit River, located just 3 km (five
minute drive) west of Square One.
Riverwood has over 400 species
of living things including plants,
mammals, birds and other wildlife.
What can you do?

Improve and enhance plant and animal
habitats
Naturalize slopes to reduce erosion
Plant flowers, trees and shrubs
Monitor the trail system
Maintain the gardens
Feed the birds of Riverwood
Summer Volunteer Positions:
We are looking for 15 to 20 volunteers to work
under the supervision of our staff and gardening
experts over the summer. We have flexible
daytime hours and are centrally located in
Mississauga on a transit route.
All training is provided.
If you’re interested in the environment, working outdoors or
gardening, Riverwood is the place for you!
