God Bless,
Dear St. Francis of Assisi community,
We begin the four weeks of Advent looking ahead with great anticipation and joy to
Christmas and the birth of Jesus, the light of the world. To prepare for the coming of
Christ, we come together as a school community by sharing with those less fortunate.
This year, from December 7th, through to December 14th, the Eco team has organized an
Advent Charity in collaboration with World Vision.
We are encouraging each family at SFA to a make a donation of their choice to help us
raise funds and purchase Moringa Trees for a Family.
Moringa trees produce animal feed, water purification, cleansers, medicine and rope fibre
for sale at market. And their leaves are loaded with protein, vitamins and minerals to help
children grow healthy and strong. There's a good reason the Moringa is called Africa's
"miracle tree"—and what a miracle it is for the family who receives this gift from you!
If each family donates $2-$5.00, we can raise approximately $2000, which will go
towards the purchase of 28 Moringa Trees!!!
Please note that any donations over $15 will not receive a tax receipt
Whenever we do what is kind and generous and loving, we make the spirit of Jesus more
visible in our world today. May our generosity shine on the faces of many children and
families in need.
Thank you for your participation and generosity,
SFA’s ECO team
