The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board supports one full-time Chaplaincy Leader
in each secondary school, where deemed reasonable, subject to enrolment considerations.
Applicants recommended for hire as a Chaplaincy Leader by the interview panel, must
receive approval from Executive Council and a “Nihil Obstat” from the Archbishop or his
delegate, before being appointed.
Since the faith of secondary students is at a critical point, those involved in Catholic
secondary education have a responsibility to help this faith to deepen and mature.
