Dear Families of Beginner Strings Students,
Lessons are off to a great start, and I am so excited about the level of enthusiasm the students
have shown already! Their instrument positions are set, and they are doing beautifully with string
recognition. I am looking forward to adding left hand positions and starting note reading next
week!
At this time, I understand that some students are still missing some of their equipment. If your
child is missing any of their materials – instrument, book, or music stand – please contact your
instrument vendor to inquire about the delay. I will be glad to assist you any way I can.
In your child’s lesson, I handed out music folders. Each folder should contain their lesson book,
schedule, and practice log. Their practice logs are for them to write down their practice
assignments and to keep track of their practice minutes. Their practice log needs to be signed by
a parent before each Monday lesson. The students should also keep a pencil in their music folder
and be sure to bring their materials to each lesson.
For your information, I have a teacher webpage that is available through the Inglewood website.
On my webpage, you will be able to find important information for beginners, lesson schedules,
and other information for all things strings.
Thank you for your support of our music program. I am looking forward to watching the
progress of our young musicians and the successes we will share throughout the year!
Musically yours,
Krista Feliciani
