 Position: Student Graphic Designer for Campus Recreation at the University of South Carolina Supervisor: Kim Dozier, Associate Director of Campus Recreation Date: 02/22/16 Position Summary: •

Use knowledge and experience in design to format advertisements, publications, graphics and media for both print and web, from concept to printing and publishing. Maintain a consistent visual language to represent, advertise and promote Campus Recreation’s facilities and programs within the established guidelines and standards of the University of South Carolina. Assist program and facility staff in promoting aspects of Campus Recreation through the use of language and visuals in the most effective and efficient means possible. Work in a fast-­‐paced environment that strives toward accuracy, creativity and meeting set goals and deadlines. Work with Printing Services, including acquiring quote estimations, turnaround time, document specifications and delivery of final products. This is a paid position consisting of 10-­‐15 minimum regular business hours and is a great way to build your portfolio and gain real-­‐world experience! Position Specifications: •

Intermediate knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro Basic-­‐to-­‐intermediate knowledge of SLR cameras and photo management; sports photography experience helpful Ability to work under tight deadlines with short turnaround times Multitasking and time-­‐management skills are a MUST Ability to work 10-­‐15 hours a week during regular business hours Must be a University of South Carolina Columbia student Availability to work over the summer Application Process: To apply for this position, please complete the online application at campusrec.sc.edu/employment by Friday, March 4.
