READING FROM A TEXT
Directions:
Students will select a passage from a text of their choice. The reading must be a
minimum of 2 minutes. Students may select a passage from a selection of literature or some other
source familiar to the student, but it must be written text. Movie scripts and speeches are not
permitted- students must select from something intended to be read, not viewed.

the correct punctuation, and must emote the proper voice and tone that the
author intends.
Requirements:
1. Students must submit a clean, typed copy of the text to the teacher by TUESDAY
at the beginning of the period– No exceptions!
2. As always, proper, professional attire.
3. Podium is optional this time.
