National Science Foundation
Graduate Research Fellowship
• Sophomore- and junior-level science, math, and
engineering students with research experience and
a GPA of approximately 3.7
• $7,500 for tuition, fees, books, room, and board
• Applicants interested in pursuing a research-based
graduate degree in the sciences
• $30,000 stipend awarded each year, up to 3 years
Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Fulbright UK Summer Institute
• Program funds 8-12 months of study, research,
creative projects, and English-teaching appointments abroad
• Awardees are recent graduates committed to
increasing mutual understanding between the U.S.
and countries throughout the world
Harry S. Truman Scholarship
• Program provides up to $30,000 for graduate
study in public service fields
• Applicants must be committed to careers in
government or the public sector
• Fully-funded 3-6 week summer institute in the
United Kingdom
• High-achieving (GPA ≥3.5) freshmen and
sophomores with little to no experience abroad
encouraged to apply

• Numerous goverment agencies and universities
offer fully funded research opportunities in the U.S.
and abroad

Science, Math, and Research Transformation
SMART Scholarship
• Applicants interested in pursuing science careers;
undergraduate or graduate
• Up to $40,000/year stipend, tuition, book allowance, health insurance allowance, paid summer
internship for up to 5 years
Gilman Scholarship
• Program provides up to $5,000 for study abroad;
preference given to study in non-traditional destinations. Additional $3,000 available for study of a
critical language
• Only Pell Grant recipients eligible; applicants may
be pursuing any degree program
Morris K. & Stewart L. Udall Scholarship
• Program provides $5,000 for tuition, room and
board, or other educational expenses
• Applicants must have demonstrated interested in
environmental issues or tribal policy
