● To understand someone, you have to look at things from his point of view.
● Real courage is sticking with something even if it’s difficult and even if you know you’re  going to lose.
● We should aim to be the same in public as we are in private; we should try to have  integrity (not be hypocritical).  Actions follow our words.
● We should never harm an innocent person who only does good for others. (mockingbird)
● All people are mostly good, but we all have blind spots.
● When people put you down, the best thing to do is to hold your head high and act like a  gentleman­­(don’t retaliate, don’t let them get you mad).
● Do not abuse an unfair advantage.
● Don’t use what is given but what is earned.
● Be respectful to all people, even your enemies.

● You shouldn’t brag about your natural talents.
● Trusting someone to do what’s right is the highest honor that can be paid.
● Ladies keep their composure in tough situations (and don’t act hysterical).
● When things go wrong, remain positive.

● Treat all guests with respect, regardless of their social class.
● It’s not necessary to tell all you know ( to gossip or be a know it all).
Lessons from others’ bad examples
● We shouldn’t spread or believe gossip or rumors about other people because the  ​ ​ not always the truth.
● Don’t embarrass people by calling out their behavior or asking them personal questions.
● Lying ends in negative consequences.
● Racism causes people to go mad (or to lose the ability to think straight)
● People act differently when they are in groups.
Others:
● Try to overcome your fears and weaknesses.
● Life is not always fair.
● Don’t be afraid to do things that others won’t do.
● Consider all possibilities before choosing a side.
● Selfless lies (lies that help others) are okay.
