JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing, planning, and the administration of a designated
program. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for carrying out the goals and objectives of the
Student Support Service Program (S.S.S.P.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Initiate and coordinate all planning, development, scheduling, and
evaluation of S.S.S.P. to include design and supervision of all program
activities.

2. Establish and manage the evaluation of all program activities that include
maintaining a database with student records and progress information and
ensure compliance in reporting responsibilities.

3. Manage and monitor contractual reporting requirements to include financial
reports, budget, and expenditures.

requirements of the U.S. Department of Education and EPCCCD policies
and regulations.

4. Provide personnel management direction and guidance to staff, including
orientation, performance appraisals, coaching, and professional
development.

5. Establish, coordinate, and maintain effective partnerships with other
College entities such as instructional programs, support services, and
student services as needed for the operation of S.S.S.P.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented, ability to process and
analyze information accurately, ability to maintain consistencies in actions and
practices, and general management skills required of the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle
materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to
long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Alternative or combined skills in understanding, negotiating, selecting, developing, and
motivating people are important to the highest degree due to constant interaction with
other people, at any level within the organization or the community, position’s
accountability for the development, motivation, assessment, and reward of employees,
and to deal with irrational situations where the outcome is unpredictable.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent
distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some
disagreeable elements.
