JOB SUMMARY: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Developmental Education Demonstration
Project (DEDP). Plan, organize, and develop goals and procedures for the Program. Represent the program
with administrators, outside agencies, and others on relevant matters.

1.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the DEDP project to include establishing
goals and objectives; develop program calendar of activities, manage
workflow, and assure compliance with the Texas Higher Education
Coordinating Board. Assist in resolving issues that arise in the delivery of the
project activities.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining measures of accountability
regarding student usage and success. Work with Information Technology (IT)
to develop Case Management database. Compile data, prepare and submit
program reports.

Establish and maintain partnerships with community businesses/
organizations, educational institutions, and other entities to support and
market the DEDP program. Conduct community outreach activities to
promote the program to include establishment of online website, publication
of articles, hosting of onsite visits, and presentations at state, regional, and
national conferences.

4.
Provide personnel management direction and guidance to staff including
orientation, performance appraisal, professional development, coaching and
counseling. Participate in setting performance goals and priorities that
contribute to departmental mission.

Manage contractual agreements for project; develop budget recommendations
and monitor program expenditures.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and insurable by
the district’s auto liability insurance carrier.

Ability to formulate DEDP program goals and objectives and to effectively market
the program to select target audiences;
Ability to process and analyze information accurately;
Experience working with a diverse student population having sensitivity to cultural
issues;
Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and teambuilding skills;
Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills;
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form;
Ability to work collaboratively in developing partnerships and teamwork;
Ability to clearly and effectively present ideas in meetings and presentations.

environment (copier, phone, fax, etc.)

presentation software.

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel required to all campus
locations on a regular basis and travel occasionally to local service areas.
