Charmayne Cullom,

Professor of CIS

“So much of the world is driven by the internet and networking today. The courses I took in the NISS minor gave me the opportunity to delve more deeply and gain more knowledge about this. I learned computer forensics, application development and how to look for hidden data on hard drives. I’m graduating soon, and having my major combined with this minor has already opened doors for me with potential employers.”

“ Network Information Security is crucial to everyone, from a home user to a large corporation. The security issue is top of mind, as people are worried about information and resources being stolen through the internet.

I’ve learned valuable network security information and acquired skills that will boost my resume and make me more attractive to employers. I think every CIS major should consider an Network &

Information Security Systems minor.”
