The Men’s, the Women’s and the Joint
* At a time when the future of the Academic Staff Common Room is clouded
by uncertainty, Professor John North and Dr Negley Harte, retired historians
and Hon. Fellows of UCL, will endeavour to recall the history of the Senior
Common Rooms at University College London since the 1890s.
* Accompanying their talk will be a small souvenir booklet containing
examples of the earliest available minutes of meetings of the Common
Rooms.
* Wine and nibbles will be provided. To reserve a place, please send Jane
Spender ( j.spender@ucl.ac.uk ) your name and department, and the name
of your guest if you would like to bring one.
* Join us in the Housman Room on Thursday 31st March 2011 at 6.00 for
6.30 pm.
