How can we deal with insecurity regarding choice of models?
Sometimes, we hear that mathematical convenience leads to choosing a joint Gaussian distribution as
an appropriate framework for analyzing data, sometimes, that only nonparametric approaches are
appropriate in the case of model uncertainty. Both are extreme viewpoints, hence some alternatives are
contemplated and discussed.
