Objective: Disassemble, reassemble, and rig an aircraft.
Provided Material:

Instructions:
1. The class will be split into groups. One group will be assigned the left wing, the
second group will be assigned the right wing; and the third group will be assigned the
empennage.
2. Using the S/N, determine the model of aircraft. Model:
3. Find appropriate service and parts manuals for the aircraft.
4. Work with your team to determine a strategy on how you will accomplish this
project. Include a plan to insure that no parts are lost or damaged, to identify missing
parts, to document airworthy discrepancies, and to support teamwork. The tasks
include wing/empennage removal, inspection of flight surface and attach points,
reinstallation, and rigging. Explain your strategy to the instructor.
5. Following the service manual instructions, remove wing/empennage.
6. Inspect the flight surface and attach points. Create a legible document that lists all
discrepancies and the parts needed to repair them (including part numbers).
7. Following the service manual instructions, reinstall and rig the flight surface.
8. Create a typed document listing the sections of the service manual that you utilized.
Include a description of how you completed each task.
